Economy and safety are decisive parameters in transport automation and goods are accordingly recorded and weighed to ensure both. A load’s weight forms the basis of the calculations for goods handling and avoids overloading: precise weighing and optimal weight distribution therefore represent an enormous safety factor for each type of goods transport.

Precise weighing and flexible automation technology
We supply track scales that quickly and precisely measure the weight of the wagon load as the vehicle passes over. Depending on the application, the loaded condition and running qualities of the rail vehicles are also diagnosed.

We also provide truck scales for inbound and outbound logistics, which are linked to a forward-compatible loading and automation system that enables the recording and calculation of material flows in higher-level systems. This is combined in Schenck Process’s Loading Automation System (LOGiQ^®).

Our crane scales, which are permanently installed on the crane, are the market leaders for legal-for-trade load determination during transport by the crane. We also offer various diagnostic functions, for example load-cycle memory.
